This is what Katelyn said this morning as she was watching out the window during breakfast. She loves to look out the window while eating, but this was the first time she ever told a bird of her affection. :)
For those of you who are wondering, no, she doesn't pronounce words this clearly. What she actually said was more like, "Bye beerd. I yuvooo."

Apple Orchard
Earlier this month we had a fun visit to Grandma and Grandpa H's house. We had a nice outing to an apple orchard to pick up some apples (for eating, dehydrating, and making apple sauce) and a pumpkin for Katelyn. She thought it was all wonderful fun. So did I for that matter. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
The owner of the orchard just thought it was the cutest thing that Katelyn was in the bin getting apples to fill our basket. She's a great helper.
And of course, picking out a pumpkin. Fun times!

The Girl Who Cried Bug
Remember the Boy Who Cried Wolf? That is Katelyn with bugs.
About a week ago I discovered she hates and fears bugs. We were enjoying our time at the library. We always love it there. However, on this particular visit there was a fly near us. It flew near us and Katelyn started freaking out and saying, "Bug!" I tried to calm her down. It landed on our bag a couple times. Each time it did she screamed, "No! Bag! Bug!" She was hysterical. Of course our 4 foot area was the only place in the library the fly wanted to be. We had to go outside for her to calm down.
Ever since then she gets worked up and yells "bug" several times a day. When I ask where the bug is she can't show me any. There are a couple little chips in our (tile) kitchen floor, and sometimes she gets worked up telling me those are bugs.
Only once since the library has there actually been a bug for her to show me. Apparently one can never be too cautious of bugs being nearby.

"I want to hold you"
Katelyn started saying, "I want to hold you." It sounds more like, "I wan holyu." She says this when she wants someone to pick her up and carry her. Funny girl.
