What a wonderful holiday! I am so grateful for the time to show appreciation of freedom and those who have served to keep such.
My school had an assembly honoring veterans of the armed forces. I am always touched by such occasions, but my extra-emotional-pregnant self was particularly touched today. My students got to see their math teacher cry. The 4th graders at APA sang the Armed Forces Medley, and the members of the respective branches stood when their song was played. These men have given so much to help us have what we have today. I have so much respect, admiration, and love for those who have served and currently serve in the armed forces.
